Natural Estrogen Blockers For Men
Most people know that women are associated with the hormone estrogen and men are associated with testosterone. A lot of folks, however, don’t know that men could have health issues if they have a high level of estrogen in their own bodies. For these sufferers, estrogen blockers could help a great deal.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A MAN HAS TOO MUCH ESTROGEN
With too much estrogen, men could experience symptoms such as a decreased sex drive, decreased facial hair, an increased risk of prostate cancer, blood clots, liver problems, and gynecomastia (formation of breast tissue—i.e., man boobs).
Increased estrogen happens most often when there is aromatase excess syndrome—i.e., an inability for the male body to regulate estrogen. What is aromatase? It’s an enzyme that regulates the hormone in a male body, turning excess testosterone into estrogen. If the enzyme is not working properly then some guys may need some estrogen inhibitors.
Too much estrogen can also lead to decreased muscle mass in men. Women naturally have extra fat in their bodies, mostly due to higher levels of estrogen. It is needed for menstrual cycles and eventually child bearing. Men, however, don’t need these hormones since they (with the exception of Arnold Schwarzenegger) can’t give birth. Therefore, guys don’t need those extra hormones and extra fat layers so too much estrogen in men can inhibit muscle growth. This is why most steroids for bodybuilding are testosterone based (though we won’t recommend steroids for anyone, of course!).
WHAT DO ESTROGEN BLOCKER SUPPLEMENTS DO?
Natural estrogen blockers for men are designed to keep a man’s estrogen levels lower in an effort to increase his testosterone. This is the key part of increasing muscle mass in males. If a man takes a supplement to increase testosterone, the aromatase enzyme will kick in to convert those increased levels of testosterone into estrogen. Then the symptoms of too much estrogen discussed above can start to become an issue. Anti-estrogen supplements help to inhibit this process and aid in muscle building.
WHAT ARE SOME INGREDIENTS IN AN ANTI-ESTROGEN SUPPLEMENT?
Popular ingredients in over-the-counter aromatase inhibitors include chrysin (derived from passion flowers), lignin (from flaxseeds), and diindolylmethane (from cruciferous vegetables like broccoli).
Here are several anti-aromatase/estrogen blockers that meet the criteria above. All have 4+ star ratings on Amazon:

It is important to try and use the most natural of ingredients, especially when dealing with hormone regulation. The more natural the ingredients the easier on the body these estrogen blockers for men will be. Of course, it’s always a good idea to first consult a doctor before trying any of these products above, even if they’re over the counter. And please do follow the printed instructions.
